Roasting and Production Assistant (Part-time)

Multimodal is a world-renowned coffee co-roasting space based in LIC.

We are seeking a part-time Production Assistant to assist with the production and fulfillment of roasted coffee. This candidate will take part in the day to day operations of roasting coffee, fulfilling orders, tasting coffees for evaluation, and maintaining a clean and proper work space. Ideal candidates do not need to have any prior production or fulfillment experience, but are expected to:

- have a keen interest in coffee, and coffee quality (!),

- be able to perform the physical requirements of the job. This includes lifting up to 160lbs of coffee (split between two staff),

- be able to follow instruction, and show the utmost respect for colleagues and customers alike,

- Must be able to work Monday thru Wednesday every week.

We are especially interested in candidates that have had no prior experience in the coffee industry, and welcome those who are considering a career change. We will accept applicants of any status, age, race, veteran-status, and are an LGBTQ friendly organization.

The starting pay for this position is $21/hr.
